Job description:
The role is to provide support for entire organization, including for programming, marketing, business development and affiliate distribution activities, to bring a Return on Investment approach (performance vs. investment), to prepare complex ratings reports and analyze audiences trends, to conduct market research, to identify areas of growth and competitive advantage. This role incorporates cooperation with all departments in CE markets as well as FIC entities in Europe or USA to bring analytical skills and profitable approach to each area.
Main tasks:
• Determine research requirements and coordinate tailored research projects, including all market data related, affiliate sales, advertising sales and business development
• Collects, analyses and distributes relevant information to appropriate departments in FIC Europe or USA as required
• Coordinates the production of market reviews and research projects for CE territories, including Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic and Slovakia, in close cooperation with international departments
• Provides strategic and ad hoc support to Programming teams to develop programming and counter-programming strategies
• Identify areas of efficiency growth for marketing communication and affiliate distribution activities
• Performs special projects and prepares reports for Business Development practices
• Work closely with appropriate teams to develop optimization strategies for commercial breaks
• Create in-depth research analyses and performance reports; decide on the correct analytic approach(es)
• Gathers research materials and performs historical tracking of television programs in order to identify audiences gaps and provide insight in programming and market trends of television viewing
• Conduct research in response to specific requests (collect, summarize, analyze, and synthesize relevant data and information)
• Oversee preparation and review of reports in Excel using charts and graphs as well as PowerPoint presentations that analyze audiences; decide the best way to present the data
Requirements:
• Five year minimum proven experience on Research Analyst or similar position for thematic TV channel(s) or Free to Air channel(s)
• Must have proven experience in market research, ratings reports and audience analysis
• Advanced Excel skills (including use of macros) and proficiency with Nielsen data based software (Arianna, AdvantEdge)
• Excellent communication and strong presentation skills
• Very strong quantitative, analytic thinking and data mining skills
• Superior problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills
• Professional attitude and service orientation; superb team player
• Good understanding of TV market and commercial drivers of media business
• TV enthusiast and TV content fan
• Strong multi-tasking abilities
• An excellent command of English both written and verbal
